Medical Disclaimer

Renasci Health provides health and wellness information and access to clinician-led healthcare services. Information published on this website is provided for general educational purposes and is not intended to replace individual medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or care from a qualified healthcare professional.

Every person is different. A treatment or product that may be appropriate for one person may not be appropriate for another.

Where prescription treatment is requested through Renasci Health, eligibility is determined through an appropriate clinical assessment. Completion of a health questionnaire does not guarantee that treatment will be prescribed.

A registered healthcare professional will determine whether a treatment is clinically appropriate based on the information available, including your medical history, current health status, medications, allergies, relevant risk factors and other information considered necessary by the clinician.

Clinical assessment is required. Renasci Health does not operate on an automatic "select a product and purchase" basis for prescription treatments. Before a prescription treatment is provided, you may be required to: complete a health and medical questionnaire; provide accurate information about your medical history; provide information about current medications, supplements and allergies; participate in a consultation or clinical review where required; provide additional medical information, investigations or laboratory results where clinically appropriate; answer follow-up questions from the healthcare professional; and complete ongoing monitoring or follow-up where required. The healthcare professional may decide that a particular treatment is not appropriate for you, may request additional information or investigations, may recommend an alternative treatment, or may recommend that you consult another healthcare professional.

No guarantee of treatment. Submitting a questionnaire, requesting a consultation or paying a consultation fee does not guarantee that a prescription will be issued. Clinical decisions are made independently by the treating healthcare professional based on the patient's individual circumstances and applicable professional and regulatory requirements. Renasci Health does not encourage patients to request a specific medicine, peptide or treatment where it has not been clinically determined to be appropriate.

Information on this website. The information provided by Renasci Health is intended to help patients understand health, wellness and treatment options. It should not be interpreted as: a diagnosis of a medical condition; a recommendation that a particular medicine or peptide is appropriate for you; a substitute for an examination or consultation with a healthcare professional; a guarantee that a particular treatment will achieve a particular outcome; a guarantee that a treatment is suitable for every patient; or medical advice based solely on the information published on this website. Medical information can change as new evidence becomes available. Renasci Health aims to keep its educational content accurate and responsible, but information on the website may not reflect every individual clinical circumstance.

Individual results vary. Healthcare treatments do not produce identical results for every person. Your response to treatment may be affected by factors including your medical history, genetics, age, lifestyle, other medications, underlying conditions, adherence to treatment and other individual factors. No specific result, weight-loss outcome, physical change, performance outcome or other health outcome is guaranteed.

Risks and side effects. All medical treatments may involve potential risks, contraindications, interactions or side effects. The risks associated with a particular treatment depend on the specific product, formulation, dose, route of administration, duration of treatment and individual patient characteristics. Before commencing treatment, you should discuss the potential benefits, risks, alternatives and uncertainties with your healthcare professional. You should read any applicable patient information, prescribing information or product documentation supplied with your treatment and follow the instructions provided by your healthcare professional. Do not change your prescribed dose, frequency or method of administration without consulting your healthcare professional.

Tell us about your health. For your safety, you must provide complete and accurate information during the clinical assessment process, including existing or previous medical conditions, current symptoms, previous surgeries or procedures, allergies or previous adverse reactions, current prescription medicines, over-the-counter medicines, vitamins and supplements, previous or current treatments, pregnancy or breastfeeding status where applicable, relevant family medical history, and relevant laboratory or diagnostic results. Failure to provide accurate information may affect the healthcare professional's ability to assess whether a treatment is appropriate for you. You must notify Renasci Health or your treating healthcare professional if your health circumstances change or if you start, stop or change any medication.

Emergency medical care. Renasci Health's online services are not intended to provide emergency medical care. If you believe that you are experiencing a medical emergency, do not wait for a response from Renasci Health or use the website as a substitute for emergency medical services. Seek immediate emergency medical attention through the appropriate emergency medical service or attend the nearest emergency department.

Prescriptions. Where prescription medicines or other prescription treatments are offered through Renasci Health, they are subject to clinical assessment and applicable South African laws, regulations and professional requirements. A prescription will only be issued where the responsible healthcare professional determines that treatment is appropriate. Renasci Health does not guarantee that a prescription will be issued for a requested product. The healthcare professional may refuse, modify or discontinue treatment where clinically appropriate.

Products and regulatory status. Patients should understand that medicines and health products may have different regulatory statuses. Where applicable, Renasci Health will provide information about the regulatory status and intended use of a product in accordance with applicable requirements. Renasci Health does not represent that every medicine, peptide or health product discussed on this website is registered, approved or authorised by the South African Health Products Regulatory Authority (SAHPRA) for every condition or intended use. Where a product has a specific regulatory status or restriction, that status should be explained to the patient as part of the clinical process.

No self-medication. Renasci Health does not recommend purchasing, obtaining, sharing or using prescription medicines or peptide-based treatments without appropriate medical assessment and professional oversight. Do not use another person's prescription. Do not share prescribed medicines with another person. Do not change your treatment based solely on information found online, including information published by Renasci Health.

Existing healthcare providers. Renasci Health does not intend to replace your existing healthcare team. You should continue to attend appropriate appointments with your GP, specialist or other healthcare professional. Where clinically relevant, you should inform your existing healthcare providers about treatments prescribed through Renasci Health.

Information accuracy. While Renasci Health takes reasonable steps to provide accurate and responsible information, no representation is made that every piece of information on the website is complete, current or applicable to every individual. Clinical decisions should be based on an appropriate assessment of the individual patient rather than website information alone.

Limitation of the website's role. Use of the Renasci Health website does not by itself establish a doctor-patient relationship. A doctor-patient relationship may arise only through an appropriate clinical interaction with a healthcare professional in accordance with applicable professional and legal requirements.

Contact and questions. If you have questions about a treatment prescribed to you, contact your treating healthcare professional or Renasci Health through the appropriate support channel. For questions about an emergency or serious deterioration in your health, seek appropriate medical care rather than waiting for an online response.
